Delete Account

You only have a Trivia Traveler account if you signed in with Apple or Google in the app to back up your progress. Here is how to delete it together with your backed-up progress.

In the app

1. Open Settings (the gear at the top right of the map).
2. Under "Back up your progress", tap Delete account and confirm.
3. With Apple, you sign in once more for your security; the app's connection to your Apple ID is then revoked as well.

We immediately delete your backed-up progress with all earlier backups and your Firebase Authentication account. You can keep playing on the device, but after switching phones your progress would be gone.

Without the app

Email [email protected] with the subject "Delete account", ideally from the email address you used to sign in with Apple or Google. If you hid your address with Apple, please tell us the relay address (ending in privaterelay.appleid.com) or the player ID shown in Settings under "Privacy". We delete the account and backed-up progress within 30 days and confirm by email.

What is deleted and what remains

We delete your Firebase account identifier, the email address stored there and all backed-up progress. On request we also delete the progress summary that every device reports to our server without signing in; otherwise it disappears automatically after twelve months without a report. Purchases remain stored with Apple or Google according to their rules. More in the privacy policy.
